We used our senses to explore jelly which we cut up with scissors.

There were opportunities to talk about scissor safety and safety around using glass jugs and hot water; to extend vocabulary with words such as dissolve, to use mathematical terms to describe the units of measure as well as name 3 D shapes naming the jelly cubes.
