Qualifications

I hold an NVQ3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and a Level 3 Award in 'Speech, Language and Communication for Children and Young People 0-25 years'.

I hold a current Paediatric first aid certificate, a Level 1 and Level 2 award in Food Safety and a Level 3 in Safeguarding Children.

I have completed the following  Open University courses: The Family at the centre of early learning (Level 1) and Understanding children: Babies being heard (Level 1).  I am currently working towards Understanding early years environments and children's spaces (Level 2) and Listening to young children: supporting transitions (Level 2).

I am very proud to have been on the steering group working alongside other early years professionals, through the Autumn term 2018 and Spring term 2019, on a school readiness project called 'This is Me'.  The children are now embracing their passports and the 7 This is Me tasks.

I am a self-reflective practitioner and I am always looking to improve my provision for the children. We enjoy fun activities based around the ‘Every Child a Talker’ and ‘I Can’ talk good practice guidelines; and are registered with campaigns such as Change4life and the pre-school educational programme Taste for Life. The children have fallen in love with the activities and they are requested alongside music, dance, cooking, painting and all the other firm favourites. I regularly attend Local Early Years Inclusion Meetings, TAPPS Meetings and the Ofsted Big Conversations.
