This year we have had a fox rear her cub, making a den under the shed in our garden. This connection made our look at nocturnal animals all the more special.
That's not my Hedgehog, That's not my Owl and That's not my Badger were a much loved addition to our look at how nocturnal animals use all their senses to find food. We thought about owls using their big eyes to see in the dark, hedgehogs using their great sense of smell to find slugs and snails, bats using their great sense of hearing to find moths to eat and moles using their great big flat paws to feel and dig.

We enjoyed seeing badgers collect straw for their burrows and play in the dark.

All these wonderful nocturnal water colour paintings were painted by rising 4 year olds.
