Kingston Lacy - Honey, harvest and hibernation

Breath taking colours greeted us with rich oranges, deep reds and golden yellows all around.

We had enormous fun setting off with our exploring sheets and pencils.

In the copper beach field we made beeswax candles and in the Fernery we marvelled at the unusual fungi and enjoyed the Autumn sensory box in the Owl House.

In the kitchen garden we watched the hive of activity around the greenhouses and in the allotments and saw all the fruits of their hard work on sale with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from.

We turned our hand to willow making and enjoyed all our favourite haunts in one of our most favourite local places.
